I liked the script’s sensitivity. It paid beautiful and sensitive attention to the faces.
It was really nice to see independent and locally produced films. keep up the good work.
Steve is extremely talented.
I am very impressed with the work of Stephen Williams. It is very sincere.
It feels so not Salt Lake, and that is wonderful. We fall so much under the Mormon way here, and these films were refreshing in all ways.
I liked the acting. There were very real and inspiring situations. Great three films! I wish the coupling had a happy ending- visiting the grandson.
The “Blessing” film was probably the best film you could have made about our church “No Starvation Church of Jesus Christ.” we are a breakoff of the LDS Church. We accept the priesthood for all gays, lesbians, crossdressers, and transsexuals, and women! (i know my parents and bishops would have reacted the same way.)
I enjoyed this event greatly. It’s not often you get to speak to directors, especially without charge, and the level of creativity that is unfortunately far removed from the majorities of main stream film. It’s nice for me personally to be in a community of people who really understand the intensity of emotional connection that can be found in film. Thank you for this opportunity to enjoy quality film.
“The Blessing” is absolutely amazing. All of the films were great; it was wonderful to see a film that hits so close to home for this community.
Thank you so much for “The Blessing.” It’s about time. ?
I think what you are doing is great! I enjoyed the shows.
Keep us posted on other events! I love your efforts.
The last two films were very well done (i missed the first.) Great transition shots in “Good Vibrations.” Regarding “Blessing”, personal stories like this one is what the society needs more of! I applaud your courageous effort. If you’d only heard the voice in my head as the opening shots came to the screen. Something like “oh, yet another “Mormon” movie!” you truly surprised me. It would be wonderful to expand this or something similar into a feature- with even greater tools and talent to help. Best wishes.
I liked the quality, honesty, and courage to address issues. I also liked the depth of the films.
Thank you! What an outstanding experience this was, providing much to think about.
Great local and universal interest. I’ve been wanting to see Steve’s work so i appreciate this opportunity.
Steve is such a careful filmmaker. He makes sure his films are visually finished in every way. They are really individually crafted miniature works of art.
Keep up the fine work. It’s exciting to have a group in SLC that is promoting documentary film and supporting local filmmakers.
I enjoyed the setting very much. It made me feel like I was attending an upscale viewing for independent films. It is very important to show these films in nice, sophisticated, and comfortable settings. It is another way of showing artists our support.
I am pleased for the opportunity to view these films. I am overwhelmed that i got to speak with the director. Thank you SLCFC.
Steve- wonderful! All 3 very very good- 5 stars!!!
I am very pleased that this center will give their space for an independent exhibition.
Excellent. Congratulations to you.
Excellent work and a wonderful atmosphere.
